ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role you will design, build, and maintain Python backend services while working end-to-end on product features that impact thousands of users. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, deepen your expertise in modern backend architectures, and play a key role in improving system performance, reliability, and code quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain Python backend services, owning feature implementation from requirements clarification through production delivery
- Design and integrate scalable REST and GraphQL APIs that support reliable communication between backend components and product interfaces
- Write clean, testable, and maintainable Python code aligned with team standards and established engineering practices
- Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, learn from experienced engineers, and help improve code quality across the system
- Create unit and integration tests for backend services and API endpoints to prevent regressions and support reliable releases
- Troubleshoot production issues in backend services and API integrations, identify root causes, and implement sustainable fixes
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to refine requirements, evaluate solutions, and deliver valuable product features
- Contribute to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and other Agile activities to align priorities and improve team processes
REQUIREMENTS
- Strong knowledge of Python supported by 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Experience with at least one Python web framework, such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
- Knowledge of relational or NoSQL databases, including schema design and efficient querying
- Experience developing and integrating REST or GraphQL APIs
- Understanding of software testing practices, including unit and integration testing
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployment processes, and containerized application environments
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze requirements and propose effective technical solutions
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team
- Upper-Intermediate English or higher for technical discussions and collaboration in a multicultural environment
