About Role
The Legal Department at SoftServe provides comprehensive legal support and protection to the company across multiple jurisdictions. We are looking for a Legal Specialist to join our team and support contractual and intellectual property matters primarily within the US and EU jurisdictions.
In this role, you will collaborate with Legal team members and internal stakeholders, including Business and Delivery teams, assess legal risks, prepare and review legal documentation, and communicate with external parties. We value integrity, ownership, collaboration, continuous improvement, and the ability to navigate a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage contractual matters, related legal processes, and documentation within US and EU jurisdictions
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize agreements, contracts, and other legal documents
- Research and assess legal and regulatory risks related to business decisions and operations
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties on legal and contractual matters
- Provide legal guidance and clarification to Business, Delivery, and other internal stakeholders
- Support other Legal team members on an as-needed basis
- Monitor relevant legislative and regulatory developments and ensure up-to-date legal knowledge
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal processes and practices
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Law with a minimum GPA of 4.5
- 3+ years of relevant professional experience
- Practical knowledge of contractual law, intellectual property rights, and licensing
- Experience working with legal matters involving US and/or EU jurisdictions
- German proficiency at A2 level or higher is an advantage
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- High level of integrity, responsibility, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in performing effectively under pressure and in a diverse, international environment
- Client-, project-, and result-oriented mindset
- Strong personal effectiveness, flexibility, and collaborative approach
- Advanced English proficiency (C1 level)
- Willingness to work overtime when business needs require it
