ABOUT THE ROLE
You will join a large-scale initiative with a Fortune Global 500 medical technology company, contributing to a near-real-time data pipeline on a healthcare platform. In this role, you will help build a scalable, secure solution that supports hospital staff with data-driven insights, improving operational efficiency and surveillance capabilities
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and develop backend services and APIs using Go and AWS IoT technologies, ensuring high performance and reliability
- Own end-to-end delivery of features, contributing to scalable architecture and improving data processing and reporting efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including cloud engineers, QA specialists, and stakeholders to deliver integrated solutions
- Build, test, and maintain complex system components aligned with engineering standards and best practices
- Implement and support device lifecycle management, including provisioning, onboarding, and device shadows
- Ensure system stability by debugging, optimizing, and supporting production environments on AWS
- Prepare accurate development estimates and contribute to sprint planning and delivery predictability
- Create and maintain technical documentation for internal teams and support knowledge sharing
REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of experience with Go programming and strong backend development skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud services, including AWS IoT, and RESTful API development
- Practical experience with TypeScript and AWS CDK, plus readiness to contribute to Java-based solutions
- Knowledge of IoT protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, and HTTP, along with device provisioning workflows
- Understanding of device security principles, including certificates, key management, and mTLS
- Experience with fleet management, firmware updates, and OTA processes
- Strong debugging, testing, and optimization skills with a focus on production systems
- Clear English communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams
- Familiarity with data pipelines and awareness of compliance standards like HIPAA, PCI, or SOX (as a plus)
