Middle Big Data Software Engineer

ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role, you will contribute to data migration and modernization initiatives, helping organizations move legacy data platforms and workflows to modern cloud-based architectures. You will work with AWS services, Python, Spark, and AI-assisted development tools to build, optimize, and validate data processing solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and maintain data processing workflows and migration solutions using AWS services and Python
  • Build and support batch and streaming data pipelines using PySpark and distributed data processing frameworks
  • Assist in analyzing legacy systems and data processes to support migration planning and execution
  • Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development, testing, and migration activities
  • Develop data validation and quality assurance processes to ensure successful migration outcomes
  • Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions
  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to migration processes and data workflows
  • Support deployment and automation activities within cloud environments

REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience in Data Engineering or Data Migration projects
  • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Hands-on experience with PySpark and distributed data processing
  • Experience with AWS services such as Step Functions, S3, Lambda, or CloudWatch
  • Understanding of ETL and data pipeline development practices
  • Experience using AI-assisted development tools or willingness to learn and adopt them
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in understanding business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
  • Upper-intermediate or higher level of English
