ABOUT THE ROLE
The Test Automation Engineer Lead defines and drives the overall data quality engineering strategy across project subsystems. The role leads QA delivery across test automation, data validation, performance, and manual testing, with a strong focus on data-centric testing. A key responsibility is establishing validation frameworks and parity checks to ensure data integrity during migrations. You will represent QA in client interactions and proactively manage quality risks with program leadership. The role also introduces AI-assisted workflows to improve test creation, data validation, and defect analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define and own the data quality strategy across all project subsystems
- Lead QA delivery across data quality, test automation, performance, and manual testing streams
- Establish data validation frameworks and parity checks across migration waves
- Facilitate QA meetings
- Set up agentic AI workflows that accelerate test authoring, data validation, and defect triage
- Represent QA in design reviews and updates with the client
- Track quality risks and align mitigation with program leadership
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, including 2+ years in a lead role
- Proficiency in Python for designing data validation frameworks and automated data quality checks
- Proven experience owning quality strategy across multiple subsystems and engineering teams
- Experience with data processing and validation libraries such as Pandas and Apache Spark
- Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka for validating message integrity and data flow
- Experience with Redis validation for key/value parity and control-state consistency
- Proficiency in Databricks for data comparison, SQL-based validation, and notebook-driven analysis
- Experience in replication-lag validation and stored-procedure parity
- Strong SQL expertise for complex validation across relational storage and BI tools
- Familiarity with data quality monitoring and pipeline telemetry validation
- Experience with cloud migration validation patterns
- Skills in collaboration across QA, SRE, data, and security teams
- Mentoring skills with a focus on developing QA engineering capabilities
- Experience using AI-assisted and agentic workflows, including AI coding agents for test authoring and analysis
