ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will work across multiple IoT engagements, collaborating with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to design and deliver robust IoT and embedded systems. The position is project-agnostic, providing the opportunity to contribute to upcoming and evolving initiatives while shaping scalable, high-performance solutions in complex environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design end-to-end IoT and edge software solutions across various platforms
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and solution estimations
- Mentor engineers and support the development of team expertise
- Define and promote engineering best practices and standards
- Collaborate with architects, delivery managers, and pre-sales teams
- Work across diverse hardware platforms, operating systems, and communication stacks
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in software development, with a background in lead or senior engineering roles
- Strong hands-on expertise in C/C++ (additional experience in Python, C#, or Rust is a plus)
- Deep understanding of Linux internals, system architecture, and embedded/edge environments
- Proven experience in software architecture design and code reviews
- Strong knowledge of embedded and edge system development
- Experience with multithreading, performance optimisation, and system stability
- Practical knowledge of Docker and containerised applications
- Understanding of networking and communication protocols (MQTT, DDS, CAN, TCP/IP, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment workflows
- Understanding of Industry 4.0 concepts, including industrial IoT and automation environments
- Basic knowledge of computer vision fundamentals
