ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will contribute to a large-scale data platform modernization initiative for a leading energy company focused on renewable energy and nuclear operations. You will support quality assurance activities across complex data migration and transformation processes, helping ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance within a regulated environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will validate modern data solutions built on Databricks and Delta Lake while contributing to reliable and production-ready delivery outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and execute end-to-end testing activities for data migration and ETL validation initiatives
- Perform source-to-target reconciliation testing to validate data completeness, accuracy, and transformation consistency
- Build and maintain automated regression test suites using Python and test management tools such as QMetry
- Validate data quality across Medallion Architecture layers (Bronze, Silver, Gold)
- Support testing of ETL pipelines and data workflows within Databricks-based environments
- Collaborate with data engineers and BI teams to validate integrations and Power BI report parity after migration
- Prepare and maintain test evidence, UAT readiness documentation, runbooks, and rollback procedures
- Participate in risk assessment, readiness reviews, and test status reporting for technical and business stakeholders
- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate with distributed delivery teams and client stakeholders
REQUIREMENTS
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in software testing, preferably within enterprise data or migration-focused projects
- Strong experience with source-to-target reconciliation and ETL/pipeline validation testing
- Experience working with Databricks
- Hands-on in EST management tools, preferably QMetry
- Practical experience building automated test suites and regression frameworks using Python
- Understanding of layered data architectures such as Bronze → Silver → Gold
- Experience validating Power BI or similar BI reporting solutions
- Familiarity with cloud-based data environments, preferably AWS
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Confident communication skills in English, both written and verbal, in a multicultural and distributed setup
