ABOUT THE ROLE
The role is focused on building and maintaining a platform that automates WordPress site operations, ensuring high performance, security, and reliability at scale. The team is responsible for exposing clear, reliable metrics and insights that help internal teams and customers understand system behavior, safely run experiments, and make data‑driven decisions. This position involves working on infrastructure, observability, and platform automation, enabling product teams to concentrate on content delivery and user engagement rather than operational complexity.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and maintain scalable, resilient systems
- Reduce manual work through automation
- Optimize performance and infrastructure costs
- Enhance security, reliability, and observability
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and clear SLOs/SLIs
- Improve monitoring, alerting, and incident response
- Collaborate with developers to build reliable services
- Participate in on‐call rotation and minimize disruptions
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or Production Engineering
- Skilled in Python, Go, and/or Bash to understand how WordPress and LAMP stack work
- Well-versed with Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals
- Knowledgeable in GCP or AWS, and Kubernetes at scale
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and distributed systems
- Aware of observability tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, distributed tracing)
- Experience in improving system reliability, reducing toil, and optimizing performance and costs
- Familiarity with designing effective alerting, defining SLOs/SLIs, and supporting incident response
- Experience with on-call supporting critical production services
- Demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills, troubleshooting without runbook mindset
- Working proficiency in English (upper-intermediate or higher) within a multicultural environment
