About the role
In this role, you will lead the global Application Engineering practice, shaping how modern software is designed, built, and delivered at scale. You will influence business growth, service innovation, and client success while working across strategy, sales, and engineering delivery.
This position offers the opportunity to build a high-impact portfolio, grow strategic partnerships, and bring next-generation engineering models—including AI-driven development—into enterprise environments.
responsibilities
- Define and execute the overall strategy for Application Engineering, ensuring growth, profitability, and market relevance
- Own P&L performance, including revenue targets, margins, pricing strategy, and investment decisions
- Lead go-to-market activities, partnering with sales and marketing to generate pipeline and close strategic deals
- Expand and evolve the service portfolio across software development, modernization, and cloud-native engineering
- Develop compelling value propositions that connect engineering capabilities with business outcomes
- Oversee delivery governance, ensuring quality, scalability, and client satisfaction across engagements
- Build strong executive relationships with key clients and support high-impact deal pursuits
- Improve operational efficiency, utilization, and delivery performance across global teams
- Drive innovation through R&D initiatives, validating new technologies and turning them into market-ready services
- Enable adoption of AI-driven engineering practices, including automation, agentic workflows, and advanced SDLC models
- Align capacity planning with business demand in collaboration with talent acquisition and workforce planning teams
- Develop engineering leadership by mentoring senior leaders and strengthening succession pipelines
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in technology services, including 5+ years in executive leadership roles with P&L ownership
- Proven track record of scaling engineering services or practices with measurable commercial impact
- Strong experience in defining service portfolios, pricing strategies, and go-to-market approaches
- Solid background in software engineering, application development, or digital transformation
- Hands-on experience working with enterprise clients and engaging with C-level stakeholders
- Ability to operate effectively in global, matrixed environments across sales, delivery, and marketing teams
- Knowledge of cloud-native development, application modernization, and enterprise-scale delivery models
- Strategic thinking combined with strong execution and decision-making capabilities
- Proficiency in translating technical strategy into business growth and client value
- Advanced communication skills for influencing both technical and business audiences
- Understanding of AI-driven engineering, automation, or next-generation SDLC approaches (preferred)
