Experience Design Lead

LOCATION:

12800 University Drive, Suite 410, Fort Myers, FL 33907 (Position based out of and reports to Fort Myers office. May work from home 100% remotely and telecommute from anywhere in the U.S.)

DUTIES:

Lead the process of design strategy elaboration using different design methods such as design thinking, service blueprint, and design sprint. Lead project discovery design activities including preparation, execution, and reporting. Lead design audit processes using different methods. Collaborate with presale teams and facilitate corresponding activities related to design effectively. Lead visual design development processes and communicate results through a story, vision, design process, or methodology. Conduct conceptual thinking with the process of design solution development with stakeholders on different project stages and translate research key findings into visually stimulating and engaging results. Responsible for design planning and implementation and communicating design decisions and rationale with clarity and authority. Define "as-is" user experience state using market and competitor analysis techniques, including observational studies, customer interviews, and other forms of research. Produce user requirements specifications and experience goals, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flowcharts, design prototypes, and design specifications. Identify the advantages and disadvantages of modern UX research techniques and consult with stakeholders on different UX testing methods. Effectively present and communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale. Lead the creative side of project pitch and support the business development teams with creative input, client meetings, presentations and proposal materials.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Digital Design, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field plus five (5) years of experience in a related occupation performing each of the following: leveraging user-centered design and agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban and Lean to create intuitive user interfaces; Employing and evaluating modern UX research techniques such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing to inform design decisions; and Applying structured design audit frameworks such as usability audits, heuristic evaluations, analytics reviews, and visual branding assessments to identify and resolve UX inefficiencies.
