ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will drive the technical delivery of Azure cloud and DevOps solutions within SoftServe’s UA DevOps Practice, combining hands-on engineering with technical leadership. You will shape cloud architectures, guide engineering teams, collaborate with clients and stakeholders, and influence technical decisions that ensure secure, scalable, and reliable solutions. Depending on project needs, you will either lead a team or independently own end-to-end delivery outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own technical delivery activities, balancing scope, priorities, risks, and timelines to ensure successful project execution
- Design and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-efficient Azure cloud infrastructure, automation solutions, and CI/CD pipelines
- Collaborate with clients, architects, product stakeholders, and engineering teams to align technical decisions with business objectives
- Translate business and technical requirements into actionable backlogs, roadmaps, and implementation plans
- Establish engineering standards, delivery processes, and operational best practices across projects and teams
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure, deployment, performance, and reliability challenges
- Conduct project health checks, assess technical risks, and recommend improvements to architecture, operations, and delivery practices
- Mentor engineers, support technical growth, and foster knowledge sharing across the DevOps community
REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Azure services, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, and enterprise-scale cloud architectures
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM Templates for infrastructure provisioning and management
- Advanced experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, including complex deployment pipelines, package management, and database migrations
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes platforms, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) or vanilla Kubernetes environments
- Proven experience with Windows or Linux administration and 3+ years of hands-on work with SQL Server, IIS, and Active Directory environments
- Advanced scripting skills using PowerShell, Python, or Shell for automation and operational efficiency
- Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Application Insights, Log Analytics, or Zabbix, as well as experience managing SQL and NoSQL databases
- Proven experience leading technical delivery, managing risks, defining engineering standards, mentoring engineers, and collaborating with multiple stakeholders
- Fluent English with the ability to participate in client-facing discussions, technical workshops, and project documentation
