Big Data and Analytics is the Center of Excellence's data consulting and engineering branch. Hundreds of data engineers and architects nowadays build data and analytics end-to-end solutions, from strategy to technical design and proof of concepts to full-scale implementation. We have customers in the healthcare, finance, manufacturing, retail, and energy domains.

IF YOU ARE

• Experienced Data Architect with hands-on expertise in building large-scale Data Platforms and decision-support systems
• Skilled in translating business challenges into Databricks-based solution architectures and hands-on in building enterprise-scale Data & Analytics solutions leveraging the Databricks Lakehouse Platform on Azure
• Capable of positioning Databricks against alternative platforms and articulating differentiation in technical and business terms
• Proficient in pre-sales engagements, collaborating with sales teams, account executives, and partners to drive opportunity qualification and closure, including discovery workshops, architecture envisioning sessions, value assessments, and technical solution shaping
• Proactive in acting as a customer-facing consultant, comfortable breaking down high-level solution architecture into implementation phases and presenting decisions and proposals to customers
• Comfortable delivering technical presentations, demos, architecture deep-dives, and executive-level solution storytelling
• Adept in preparing Statements of Work (SoW), high-level estimates, migration strategies, and roadmap proposals
• Advanced in SQL and Python with practical experience in data engineering and analytics workloads on Databricks
• Strongly experienced with Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Jobs, SQL Warehouses) Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2) Azure Data Factory / Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, Azure SQL and other Azure data services
• Versed in streaming and real-time architectures using Apache Kafka, Azure Event Hub, and structured streaming on Databricks
• Knowledgeable in establishing and enforcing data governance policies using Unity Catalog in Databricks for centralized data access control, lineage, and auditing

AND YOU WANT TO

• Own source-to-target mappings, drive discovery of new data sources, coordinate with business stakeholders on data ingestion
• Assist the Data Engineering Team with clear implementation scope definitions
• Participate in architecture decision-making and scale the data platform by planning new data ingestion pipelines and maintaining the data model
• Drive requirements gathering with business and tech stakeholders and assist with data modeling for systems using both Snowflake and Kafka
• Create and maintain documentation for the data schema and model
• Collaborate in a team of data-focused engineers dedicated to continuous learning, improvement, and knowledge-sharing
• Be involved in the full project lifecycle, from initial design and proof of concepts (PoCs) to minimum viable product (MVP) development and full-scale implementation
• Investigate new technologies, build internal prototypes, and share knowledge with the SoftServe Big Data Community
