ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role, you will design and deliver scalable data platforms on AWS with a strong focus on the Databricks ecosystem. You will work with batch and streaming solutions, shaping Lakehouse architectures and supporting projects from early discovery to production within a collaborative, innovation‑driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement scalable data solutions using Databricks on AWS, ensuring performance, reliability, and long‑term platform scalability
- Own the development of batch and streaming data pipelines and Lakehouse architectures that enable analytics and data‑driven decision making
- Collaborate closely with technical and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into architecture designs, and define implementation plans
- Support data ingestion activities, including source‑to‑target mappings and onboarding of new data sources into the platform
- Participate in architecture discussions, contributing to platform evolution, data modeling, and governance practices
- Develop and manage workflows using Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow, or MWAA to orchestrate complex data processes
- Implement and support real‑time data processing solutions using Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK, or Kinesis
- Create and maintain technical documentation, data schemas, and solution artifacts across the full project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven experience designing scalable data platforms and data pipeline architectures in cloud environments
- Strong expertise with AWS services and the Databricks platform, including Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, and Jobs
- Hands‑on experience with batch and streaming data processing using Apache Spark or similar big data technologies
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, with a strong preference for Python, and solid SQL skills
- Experience with orchestration tools such as Databricks Workflows, Apache Airflow, or MWAA
- Practical knowledge of streaming technologies including Apache Kafka, Amazon MSK, or Kinesis
- Familiarity with data warehousing solutions such as Snowflake or Amazon Redshift
- Experience in customer‑facing or pre‑sales activities, including workshops and architecture discussions
- Upper‑intermediate or higher level of English for effective collaboration in international teams
