What do we offer?

In Business Analysis Office at SoftServe, we aim at keeping up with the world’s business analysis trends. This course is the answer to the global market’s needs accompanied by knowledge expertise of business analysts in Ukraine. Our mission is to bridge the gap that we have and stay in demand.

You will go deep into the matter and get practical experience in knowledge areas and techniques, which make Business Analysts genuinely business-oriented. We will not concentrate on requirements management, as you are already familiar with it. Instead of this, you will try advanced techniques and discover new facets of Business Analysis.

You will go through all main stages of Business Analysis while working on your project from the first day of the course:

Module 1. Business Analysis Planning and Strategy Analysis.

We will start with Business Analysis Planning, and then move to Current State Analysis and Define Future Desirable State

Module 2. Change Strategies Defining. Business Case.

After homework ideation, you will make up a list of Change Strategies, and after Risk Assessment and Decision Analysis, you will choose the most suitable one. You will prepare your first Business Case to justify your bright ideas.

Module 3. Requirements Analysis and Design Definition.

Each team will pitch their view in front of the whole group and then you will define your stakeholders and learn how to understand them better. You will learn how to identify your solution and to validate your assumptions.

Module 4. Solution Defining and Requirements Specification.

We will share the best practices of prioritizing, prototyping and specifying functional and non-functional requirements.  We will dive deeper into the techniques and will learn how to use them more efficiently.

Module 5. Solution Acceptance and Deployment. Final Project Presentation.

We will talk about Solution Acceptance.  You will prepare a Deployment Plan for your Solution and make a presentation of your project to the whole group.

Our course is IIBA endorsed; thus, as IIBA Endorsed Education Provider (EEP) we guarantee Professional Development (PD) Hours and Continuing Development Units (CDUs) offered by the course.

Who are we looking for?

1.5 year of IT experience + 0.5 years of BA experience;

Intermediate strong + (B1+) level of English (all training materials and practical tasks are in English);

The knowledge of requirements lifecycle and business analysis techniques;

Understanding of software development lifecycle and methodologies.

Each session includes:

Presentation of new material; Practical tasks  that develop the project step by step after each theoretical block;

Practical homework;

Training approach

Working in separate teams (4-5 students) on one continuous project

In addition:

A certified expert in this area teaches each topic.

Each team has its own mentor (business analysis expert) to address all questions to.

The course language is Ukrainian/Russian, however, all the training materials and practical tasks are in English.

Business Analysis knowledge areas: Business Analysis Planning, Strategy Analysis, Requirements Life Cycle Management, Requirements Analysis and Design Definition, Solution Evaluation

Business Analysis activities: Planning Business Analysis Information Management and stakeholder engagement, Current and Future States Analysis, Defining Change Strategy, Measuring Solution Performance, Defining Requirements Architecture, Defining Design Options, Requirements Prioritization and MVP, Requirements Specification, Solution Acceptance, Deployment Planning

Also, you will have experience in Business Analysis techniques: Enterprise Architecture Analysis, Business Model Canvas, Problem Statement, Modeling, Benchmarking and Market Analysis, Risk Analysis and Management, Decision Analysis and Modeling, Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria, Cost-Benefit Analysis, Business Cases, Scope Modeling, Personas, User Journey, Story Mapping, Functional Decomposition, Non-Functional Requirements Analysis, Prioritization, Prototyping, Use Cases and Scenarios, User Stories

And Business Analysis tools: JIRA/Trello or similar, Confluence/Google Drive or similar, Xmind/Bizagi/Visio or similar
